We're Matthew and Charmain Baker, and together with our children we run Ambrose Farm in the heart of Devon.
We believe great food starts with great farming. That's why we focus on traditional farming methods, giving our ducks and chickens the time, space and care they need to develop naturally. We never chase volume at the expense of quality, because producing exceptional poultry has always mattered more to us than producing the most.

Our ducks spend their lives on our Devon family farm, where they're carefully looked after by us every day. We focus on quality over quantity, never rushing production or cutting corners. By growing our birds more slowly and allowing them the freedom to behave naturally, we produce duck that's full of flavour, beautifully tender and something we're genuinely proud to put our name to.

Alongside our free range ducks, we also rear slow-growing free range chickens here on our Devon family farm. We believe that giving birds the time to grow naturally produces better welfare, better texture and better flavour.
Our chickens are reared at a slower pace than conventional poultry and have access to the outdoors throughout the day, giving them the freedom to forage, explore and behave naturally. We never believe in rushing nature, because exceptional food starts with exceptional farming.

We take great care when packing every order. Your duck and chicken are carefully packed in Woolcool insulated packaging. That's made from natural sheep's wool and is an environmentally friendly way to keep food chilled during transport. We include frozen gel ice packs to maintain the correct temperature, and we use a next day delivery service so your order arrives within 24 hours, in excellent condition.

You can buy free-range duck meat directly from our Devon farm through our online shop. Our duck is supplied frozen and carefully packed for delivery.

Our duck & chicken meat is supplied frozen, making it easy to store and use when needed while preserving quality.
All of the poultry is reared in free range, access to fields and countryside from dawn to dusk.
